HDMI Over Cat 5e/6

With this fantastic simple cost effective use of technology, it is now easy to have a HD quality picture signals sent from the main viewing room to other parts of your property. Using Cat 5e or 6 data cable with run lengths of up to 100 meters and attaching a powered converter at each end.

Compared to the expense & complexity of buying and routing a long high quality HDMI cable, using data cable and converters is a far superior method of remote high quality video viewing of up to 1080p. Generally two data cables are required for each remote viewing area. Where more than one remote viewing point is required from one viewing source an HDMI signal splitter is used at the source point.

HDMI over cat5e/6 can work well in both renovation & retro fit type installations, internal or external grade data cable can be selected to fit the needs of the install project.

This type of cabling can also be applied to sites where the viewer prefers (due to fan, hard drive noise, locations of source signals  or access control) to have there video source devices situated remote from the viewing area, there are many options to incorporate the control element of the remote device regardless of the the type of installation or the reasons for the installation.
